The weeks leading up to a major technology launch are always going to be riddled with Internet leaks, and the upcoming introduction of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 480 graphics card - codenamed Fermi - is no exception.

Scheduled to be launched on March 26th, NVIDIA's card has already been priced, pictured and detailed over the course of the last month. Accompanying the steady flow of information is a set of in-house NVIDIA benchmarks, which claim the GeForce GTX 480 to be superior to AMD's fastest single-GPU competitor, the ATI Radeon HD 5870.

NVIDIA's own benchmarks have to be taken with a pinch of salt, but the first of what appears to be real-world benchmarks have now arrived to back up NVIDIA's claims. Surfacing at Arabic technology site arabhardware.net, the brief benchma... Read more »

Halo 3: ODST left many reviewers divided over the game's additions to the franchise, though one area that was readily apparent to everyone was how the game looked. Running at a sub-720p native resolution and having animation and facial detail that was roughly unchanged since Halo 3, the game was not as visually appealing as certain other titles that released in 2009. Bungie community manager Brian Jarrard was aware of the various complaints, and he talked with IndustryGamers during GDC about how Bungie plans to improve Halo in the graphics and animation department.

It seems Gamestop doesn’t know the meaning of the word "free”. Many excited Monster Hunter fans have written in to let us know that upon asking for a free Monster Hunter Tri demo, they were forced to pre-order the final game, and pony up $5 in order to receive the demo. This is bad news for Capcom, as the Monster Hunter franchise has only recently begun gaining steam in North America. By attaching strings to the free demo, Gamestop is sure to alienate more than a few gamers that would have otherwise taken the demo home, and taken the game for a test drive. We can only hope that Capcom will find other ways to get the demo out to anyone who wants it. Monster Hunter Tri hits store shelves on April 20th, so hopefully this mess will be sorted out by then.

Some people like to take things a little further than most, and in the case of the pictures below, one person has done just that.

To celebrate the launch of a certain God of War III, one Brazilian has decided to paint himself up as that man Kratos and to be honest he does look rather convincing don’t you think?

Anyway here are the pics.
