Okay, so again, for the second time
today, I’m kind of branching out of our usual domain of covering
strictly indie games to bring you more of a converstation on the methods
of delivering indie games, if that makes any sense.
Last Friday, at the very start of IndieCade, I was able to sneak into
a panel on Intel’s new "AppUp” application store for netbook computers.
The premise is fairly simple, Intel has released an app store — just
like on Android, and iOS — for people who own netbooks. The idea is that
since these computers are so small and are typically owned by people
who don’t need a full sized computer they instead act more like a tablet
or smart phone for many people hence the application store market
should work.

Broadcast content streaming site Hulu may be preparing for an IPO to raise as much as $300 million with Morgan Stanley as the primary underwriter, according to a report from Reuters.
The additional funding could be used to pay for new content sources
like deals with broadcast networks. Google and Apple are entering the
living room with Google TV and the revamped Apple TV. They’ll both
features movie and show rentals. And Netflix is already a heavy-hitter
in the streaming video marketplace. So it’s becoming a bit of a crowded
market for streaming premium content.
Hulu is a free, ad-supported way for viewers to watch content from

In addition to the various offers
available at retailers throughout Europe and North America,
Microsoft has revealed an all-new pre-order bonus for the
forthcoming Fable III.
Set to be released on 29th October 2010,
Fable IIIis undoubtedly one of the most
highly-anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive releases remaining in this
year’s schedule.
Live from the Windows Phone 7 event, Microsofts Joe Belfiore announced
something big "We are proud to say today that we will have EA as one of
our gaming partners!" Thats right, and he showed off a sexy mobile
version of The Sims 3. With EA on board, I can't wait to see what else
is heading towards the Windows Phone 7.
Microsoft has said that it views its
upcoming Windows Phone 7 "as a games console" and plans to support the
device with a robust launch line-up of titles. "We're going to have a launch portfolio
of games that's bigger than the one we had with the Xbox 360," Kevin
Unangst, senior global director for Games for Windows, told TechRadar.
"We're fully thinking of [this platform] as a games console. Games like
Fruit Ninja will be important, harnessing a number of features like
access to friends and connecting to other Xbox Live users."
Unangst also said the company's hard at work on new features to improve
cross-platform gaming functionality between Xbox 360 and Windows Phone
