It seems Gamestop doesn’t know the meaning of the word "free”. Many
excited Monster Hunter fans have written in to let us know that upon
asking for a free Monster Hunter Tri demo, they were forced to pre-order
the final game, and pony up $5 in order to receive the demo. This is
bad news for Capcom, as the Monster Hunter franchise has only recently
begun gaining steam in North America. By attaching strings to the free
demo, Gamestop is sure to alienate more than a few gamers that would
have otherwise taken the demo home, and taken the game for a test drive.
We can only hope that Capcom will find other ways to get the demo out
to anyone who wants it. Monster Hunter Tri hits store shelves on April
20th, so hopefully this mess will be sorted out by then.
Some people like to take things a little further
than most, and in the case of the pictures below, one person has done
just that.
To celebrate the launch of a certain God of War III, one Brazilian
has decided to paint himself up as that man Kratos and to be honest he
does look rather convincing don’t you think?
Ready for more box shots? We thought so... but this time we have
some full frontal of hardware for you to feast your eyes on too!
As we inch closer to Nvidia's official launch of Fermi next
week, it's only natural that we start seeing more details leak out from
OEM product partners.
We know that most of you are clamoring for more scrumptious box
shots, but as a bonus today we've also come across on Chinese site
Expreview some full-frontal pictures of XFX's GeForce ... Read more »
I’m not even going to try and convince people that PlayStation
Network, in it’s current state, comes anywhere close to the whole Xbox
Live experience –XBL is, hands down, the better service. Xbox Live has
been a rock solid service since it first launched and has only improved
with the years. PlayStation Network, on the other hand, bombed when it
first launched, despite being free. People were still willing to spend
the extra cash for the extra service giving the Xbox 360 a large lead in
sales of most all multi-player games – but things just might change.
The PlayStation Network has come a long way since it opened and the fact
that Sony are also giving their users the option of buying a premium
service could mean trouble for Microsoft.
Here are six reasons why the PSN Premium service could outsell Xbox
Live:
6. Access to Betas

With the recent addition of Playstation.Blog Share onto the US
PlayStation website does this mean that Sony will finally be listening
to the ideas of PlayStation users and implement want they want on to the
console?
This seems like a far off dream for many users who have been posting
there ideas on what they want on the Official PlayStation Forums for
along time now and have seen nothing returned. One of these big requests
that keep on repeating themselves in new threads is the request of
‘Cross Game Voice Chat’. The feature that is currently included on Xbox
Live allows gamers to speak to people on their friends list without
being in the same game or lobby as themselves. This idea is currently
topping the leader boards of the most voted for ideas. So does this
finally mean that we will get Cross Game Voice Chat? It all depends if
Sony will actually listen this time.
